How Cool Gun T-Shirts Help The 2nd Amendment

By Jackson Mills

A new generation of gun lovers have come to age in the recent years and they are bringing a new face to the world of weapons. Just as other young people these days, the younger breed of gun enthusiast likes looking good while they represent the thing they love. Clothes, and t-shirts specifically, have always been a medium for hobbyists to advertise their interests. Now that a more fashion-conscious generation has emerged, these cool gun t-shirts have finally gotten the sexy touch they deserve.

The blunt, prideful nature of gun t-shirts from yore are fading away. These older generation of gun activists treated their t-shirts like picket signs at a rally. Huge, bold script that told people to "keep their hands and laws off my gun." These bold statements have a place, but the newest innovators want cool gun t-shirts and not just a declaration of interest on their clothes.

Guns are a very hotbed topic of discussion, especially when you cross over the political barriers. Social groups are much more likely to be comprised of many different political views than they were in the past. People are generally more tolerant of each other's views amongst these younger people. That doesn't exactly fit with the segregated battle lines of previous years and the aggressive gun t-shirts from a generation before.

This type of t-shirt is far too brash and defiant for many of the younger gun lovers today. It is possible to wear a well-designed, cool gun t-shirt without looking like a gangster. While these younger folks are definitely from conservative stock, that doesn't mean they want to dress like a middle-aged Republican gun owner.

Young people like to look good, and these cool gun t-shirts deliver in spades. The printing is very large and covers most of the surface of the t-shirt. This catches the eye and immediately makes people question what the shirt is about. This produces conversation that could be used to engage others in the topic of gun ownership. Cool gun t-shirts that look good and still bring a message to others. Sounds like progress to me.
