Protect Yourself from Eshock

By Vito La Fata

As a fitness professional, you have probably realized the impact that globalization and online purchasing have had on your business. The economy has changed and people are shopping more and more online. This changes a lot of things in the marketplace, including how your business runs.

These changes may be affecting how much money that you are making currently. Have you noticed a decrease in your profits? Some fitness pros are actually going out of business, as sad as that is to report. Entire profits are decreasing due to the changes in the way that consumers are purchasing things these days.

Do you want to be less profitable? Do you have a plan for combatting a profit reduction? Since people are doing more of their buying online, you will feel the effects if you rely totally on a physical brick and mortar building for your business. People also are using Youtube for fitness help, as well as info products.

It is called the Fitness E-Shock, and it refers to the big changes that are happening to the fitness industry as a result of so many people moving to online sources for fitness help. Unless you are prepared, you may find that you lose much of your income. You need a buffer for your business so that you do not find yourself unable to make money.

Let's look at this from our current state of the fitness industry because we have some major flaws in our business models as fitness professionals, and we need to talk about them. Fitness professionals are exhausted and tapped out on their potential to train one-on-one, in groups, travelling and with boot camps.

The solution that you need in order to be a winner in the changing fitness economy is to change over to online sources of profit for your fitness business. You can still train people and help them, but rather than doing it all in person, you will have ways of doing this online as well.
