The Basics On Inexpensive Invitations

By Adele Madden

Social invitations are typically handed out for special events. Those who receive them are being asked to attend. In some situations, this invitation may include a request that persons respond in order to confirm whether or not they will be present. RSVP is typically done with larger events in order to keep an updated count of the attendees and make catering, venue and other major arrangements. People are planning an event may be interested in finding inexpensive invitations.

Traditionally, these invites were sent through the mail. This method took more time, money and effort. Nowadays, it is common for invites to be sent through the Internet, particularly by email or social media websites. This option has become more preferred because it is inexpensive and convenient.

The money that is spent when printing or mailing invites is not applied through virtual invitations. Likewise, there is reduced stress because individuals do not have to find the contact information for every person on the guest list. Making an RSVP is easier and faster and people can be issued reminders about the upcoming event through email or social media. Although it is recommended that planners send out these invitations far in advance of the actual occasion, sending them last-minute is easier online.

Those who are still interested in sending out physical invites should search for a company that offers these at an inexpensive, affordable rate. Another option is to make these themselves. However, this is expected to take more time, even though it adds a unique and personal element.

Invites are sent for many different occasions, whether small or large. They may go out for a special dinner party with a small guest list and it is quite common for them to be sent for weddings. Other events that may include invitations: graduations, baby showers, holiday parties, bridal showers, charity events or fundraisers, and birthday celebrations. To save on costs, people may only give these out for large events and post others on social media or in emails.

Another type of inexpensive option is to make phone calls to invite people. This is also a time-consuming process, but adds a nice personal touch. It allows individuals to personally ask someone to come to their event and in some cases, get an immediate answer to whether the person will be able to attend. The only cost of this invitation comes with the phone service, but this is far less expensive than having invites printed and mailed.

The invitations should have all of the important details regarding the event. This usually includes the location, time, type of event, date and appropriate dress. Special instruction may also be included. When RSVP is requested, recipients may have to specify if they will attend, with whom and the kind of food they want from the menu. Most of the time no penalties are issued to those who RSVP and are not able to attend.

Event planners may be interested in inexpensive invitations. There are many businesses that offer products and services that are affordable, although the option of printing and mailing invites is more costly and outdated. Many people opt to make personal phone calls to invite guests or contact them via social media or email. The phone and Internet are the least expensive options, as they are virtually free.
