I go for items of $100 and over, especially household and electrical items. I then make up a "selling price" for each item that includes a sizable profit for me. I then go to Ebay and search for exact matches. I can usually find a few items I can list with confidence at my higher price and I list then as "Buy Now" items. When someone buys from my Ebay listing and the money has been paid, I use my Paypal Visa to buy from Amazon, using the "send as a gift" option to have it mailed direct to my Ebay customer. That way the buyer never finds out the real price and I know the goods will be delivered.
Sell Yourself. Did you know that you are an expert? If you don't think you are, you might well surprise yourself. Think what you do (at work or in your spare time) and what little secret or trick you could sell for a few dollars. If you play guitar in a rockabilly band, for example, you might be able to put together a video or series of videos showing tricks specific to the rockabilly guitar. Think about what you can do.
Making a product to sell needn't be expensive or take a lot of time. It can be an eBook, a video or even a single page. I know a guy became a science teacher by putting himself through college on the proceeds of a series of five minute videos he knocked up explaining Einstein's theory of relativity (with jokes), Darwin's theory of evolution, and suchlike for $5 each. Look online and see what's available and how you can do something similar for yourself.
Helping people find work is a growing online industry. As the effects of recession and credit crunch continue to bite, there are lots of people out of work and school-leavers who fear they will not be able to find a job. Help them. Perhaps you are a trained nurse or a dentist or even a butcher, a baker or a candlestick maker. Why not make a product that explains how best to start in that job, what qualifications (if any) are needed, what school subjects would help, and so on. Using your experience to help others is a great way to start a new business.

If you give your customer what they want at a price that they consider reasonable, you have created a win-win situation and they will be more likely to buy from you again. Make your products as good as you possibly can and you will make more money. In the long run scammers do not prosper, and it's just as easy (and far nicer) to be a good guy as it is to be a crook.
