Nokia N900 Cell Phone Computing Has Come

The Nokia N900 is one of the famous new smart phones. A new addition to the world of Nokia smartphones, the N900 can stand its own when compared to other devices on the market.

Key features of this mobile phone:

Look - The appearance of this phone is one of it's big features, while a bit thick it manages to conceal a fast TI OMAP 3430 processor with ARM Cortex that runs at 600 MHz. While the telephone is bigger, it does not lack a stylish quality. Jet black in colour with a glossy finish and its sleek is the N900. The camera can be found on the back side, with the keyboard located in the front panel. A shutter protects this phone's Carl Zeiss camera lens. At the top, it has a lock key and 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Touchscreen - It has a 5 inch touchscreen offering a resolution of 800x480 pixels. The screen allows you to support 16 million colors. The touchscreen is simple to use and rather reactive.

OS - The phone has the operating system Maemo 5 OS. This Linux based OS is open source and application developers and designers can add cool graphics and applications as they wish. More than one application are able to be used simultaneously. You can easily switch between applications. Applications which are currently running are displayed as small panes on the display panel. You can close applications by simply clicking a cross sign at the side of the window.

Interface User - Easy to use is the UI which is also convenient. All ions and applications are displayed in the desktop. You can also add shortcuts to social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Evernote etc. You can add widgets of your choice too. Navigating the desktop is easily done with a swipe of your finger.

Online - This smart phone provides many different ways for you to connect to the Internet. For internet surfing Mozilla Firefox explorer is utilized by the telephone. To zoom in on a page, just swirl your finger in a circle or tap the page twice.

Navigation - The navigation software in this device is worth mentioning. A-GPS, inbuilt compass and Ovi maps, are found in the N900. If you don't like using Ovi maps, you can choose other maps to download and keep.

Camera and video - This mobile phone has a 5 mega pixel camera with 3x zoom, geo tagging, auto focus etc. All these attributes along with the excellent clarity and resolution of the screen offers you wonderful images. You can also edit images as you wish. With WVGA 848x480 @ 25fps, Video streaming is possible.

Media - The Nokia N900 contains a few amazing media attributes. MP3, WAV, WMA and eAAC formats are the support files of the music player. Whereas WMV, Real Video, MP4, AVI and XviD formats are the support files of the video player.

Microsoft Office- The document viewer contained in the mobile phone permits users to see MS Office documents and PDF files easily.

Games - You can download a Nintendo SNES emulator onto this handset. The gaming experience is good.

Other Features - Polyphonic ring tones, calculator, calendar, organizer, to-do list, Java, handsfree, voice memo, FM radio, vibrating alert and so on.
