Giving Discipline To Your Child - A Vital Part Of Parenthood

By Dana Cooper

People usually think that they should not confront their children for anything they do. This is a mistake which can have lifelong impact on the child's life. The impact of such mistakes although may remain dormant for years.

Parents mostly out of love and care for their children totally forget about discipline and this confusion leads them to make a mistake. They think they are building a good relationship with their children but they instead are making their children undisciplined.

Those who let their children do whatever the children want and cross all the limits they have, in fact are not taking the responsibility parenthood has given them. As parents they are bound to decide for their children as what they are allowed to do and what they should not be doing.

Children not only must know and understand the penalty of breaking rules and regulations but they must also need limits which many people do not know. Many will not believe it but limits if well understood by children give them sense of protection. Professionals even say that such limits make the children fell more loved and cared for.

It may be difficult for parents for saying no to the children's irrational demands because of the trend of agreeing with the children in everything they do. But we all know about the spoiled children who are the result of this mistake.

For many it will be difficult to put limitations on their children's activities or even think about it. The thought of why they should do and not the children can help them understand the importance of limits for the children.

Although it is difficult but if you really love your children and care for them, you will realize that the results of put rational limit on your children's life are more valuable than the struggle you made for this purpose.

Everyone should know that human has no knowledge of everything. We therefore must seek knowledge from all possible sources to make our children's life trouble less and smooth.
