Lack Of Sleep Causes - Does Absence Of Sleep Cause Major Health Issues?

By James Baldwin

Many people think that a lack of sleep isn't a big deal. They believe that just because they aren't getting a lot of rest at night, they are not at risk of future health problems. Sadly, this is 100 percent fake, as a constant absence of sleep interprets to having insomnia, which then interprets to possible health issues in the future. Does absence of sleep guarantee health issues for an individual? No, but that person will become more susceptible to contagions over time .

"Why does an absence of sleep, or insomnia, lead to a person's health to deteriorate?" Simply due to the effects it has on the immune system. When the immune system is in tip top shape -- meaning you are sleeping well and living healthy -- it quickly eliminates most all bacteria and viruses which enter your body. If this "defense system" flounders, your body will not be almost as effective at dumping these dangerous organisms, which should thus lead to diseases ; some of which could be life threatening.

Do not panic just yet! Insomnia won't lead you to get all sick and illness ridden overnite. In truth, it can take quite a while for your immunological system to degrade from absence of sleep. How long? Well, that may be a bit hard to say, as it is dependent on your case of insomnia and how harsh it is. The more dreadful your kind of insomnia is -- meaning the less rest you're getting -- the faster your immune response will probably rot; and vice versa.

"I can't afford drugs and fancy medicines. Does shortage of sleep have natural remedies that I'll use?" Yes, fortunately. Rather than counting on doctors and OTC ( over the counter ) sleeping aids, there are lots of natural insomnia remedies you may use to regulate your sleeping disorder.

What sort of cures are there? Lots! Natural cures for shortage of sleep can be as easy as taking a warm bath with bath salts or as involved as drinking specially made herbal teas and entering into relaxation care. To be utterly fair, there are so many natural treatments for absence of sleep that it would be borderline foolish to even think about using expensive OTC sleep aids.
